BenefitsPlus for Contractors and Affiliates

About the Plan
With BenefitsPlus, San Diego AGC offers a comprehensive menu of benefits for construction contractors, affiliate members, and contractors performing work on federal facilities under the Service Contract Act.

The BenefitsPlus Medical Plan gives employers a high degree of freedom of choice and cost-saving options, with several differing programs being available under the Plan. These include medical coverage tailored to meet the needs of San Diego AGC affiliate members who are non-contractor providers of construction-industry products and services, as well as the needs of construction contractors whose prevailing wage work does not exceed 15% of their annual earnings. Programs have been designed especially for SCA contractors as well.

Employers may choose to offer their employees all of the UnitedHealthcare HMO and PPO plans. Employers with 50 or more benefit-eligible employees may choose to offer Kaiser HMO as well, alone or alongside the UnitedHealthcare programs.

In addition to offering medical coverage, BenefitsPlus provides an exceptional array of ancillary benefits that are available to construction contractors (with no restrictions regarding prevailing wage work), SCA contractors, and affiliate members. These benefits include dental plans, vision, chiropractic, life and dependent life coverage.

AGC BenefitPlus Trustees
The individuals who serve as BenefitsPlus trustees posses the knowledge and experience gained as successful businesspeople and have been active with San Diego AGC for many years. Most of the trustees have served on the trust since its inception in 1995. They have donated, and continue to donate, many hours to the creation and implementation of BenefitsPlus programs. They are committed to representing the best interests of the program’s participants at all times.
