Local Hire Pilot Program Dropped by U.S. Department of Transportation - AGC Says, "I Told You So!"

With the arrival of spring, what was old is new again and the City of San Diego is, once more, looking at Local Hire requirements that have been a failure and found unconstitutional. The following "evergreen" article is republished from the October 9th 2017 edition of the Monday Morning Quarterback, and is a reminder of the pitfalls of local hire programs.
"Local Hire" requirements are back in the news! This would normally be of concern to the construction industry, but not this time!
